The Maria Oliveira Language Learning Center of Pinole Has Been Approved as a Continuing Education Provider
Two specialized Spanish language courses at the Maria Oliveira Language Learning Center have been approved for accreditation: Spanish for Nurses and Healthcare Professionals by the California Board of Registered Nurses, and Spanish for Social Service Professionals by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Maria Oliveira's Language Learning Center recently opened at 2646 Appian Way, in Pinole, CA. The Center features affordable, small classes for adult learners in a variety of formats. Some courses meet for six weekly sessions with a defined syllabus, while others are Ongoing Classes that proceed at a rate determined by the group itself. Private one-on-one sessions are also available.

Olympic Swimming vs. Triathlon Swimming
While watching the swimming events in the Olympics last week, I started thinking about how different the freestyle stroke is (or should be) for Olympic sprinters and amateur triathletes.Many people in the triathlon world think they need to just emulate Ian Thorpe to have a faster time, or have a similar stroke to Michael Phelps to cruise through the swim.
